The Quincy Tri-State Homeless Veterans Stand Down is a 1-day event aimed at meeting the immediate needs for homeless veterans and veterans at risk of homelessness. The event will include resources for housing, employment and training, as well as continuum of care, to end the cycle of homelessness and risk of homelessness. The event targets a 27-county area in Illinois, Missouri, and Iowa, and will involve a variety of giveaways, free food, and comradery with fellow veterans of all eras. Proof of military service must be provided (DD214, military ID, etc.). However, VA staff will be available to assist veterans in obtaining a DD214 if needed. Registration is available on EventBrite – encouraged for veterans, and required for volunteers and agencies.
