Moonlight Ride for Hunger (Christmas in July)
Join us for the Fifth Annual Moonlight Ride for Hunger! Our theme this year is CHRISTMAS IN JULY! Our trail will be lit up with light displays that are normally seen around Quincy during Christmas. We will be lighting up the night throughout All American Park and along the Bill Klingner Bike Trail! We will have free t-shirts for each person participating in the ride. A special bonus this year will be a “Christmas Cookie Crawl” for families to participate in. There will be food and fun throughout Clat Adams and All American Parks! Don’t forget to decorate up your wagons and strollers to wheel them around!
The Moonlight Ride for Hunger is an annual event to raise money for the Horizons Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry. Horizons is a local ministry that fed over 32,000 people through their food pantry and served over 50,000 meals through their kitchen just last year. Located at 224 South 8th Street in Quincy, IL, this ministry is at the epicenter of the need of impoverished people in Adams County.
Registration is required for all events and 100% of all proceeds (after expenses) from the Moonlight Ride for Hunger go to Horizons for use in their outreach to the needy in Quincy and the surrounding area! Individuals will need to register for the ride, but only families will need to register for the “Cookie Crawl”. Please note that the registration fee for the Adult Bike Ride increases to $35 after 07/25/21.
