Kids can come to our churches and ministry programs having experienced some challenging events in their young life. These adverse childhood experiences can result in strong thoughts, feelings and even challenging behaviors. This free, live event will help church Sunday school teachers, volunteers and staff navigate those situations. Attendees will hear from The Knowledge Center staff about what trauma is, how it impacts children and some strategies for supporting children and youth in local congregations.
The event will take place at The Knowledge Center on Chaddock’s campus on February 9th from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. This training session is free to attend and a dinner and childcare will be offered.
