The First Baptist Church of Quincy, Il (located at 739 North 8th Street), is celebrating Rev. Dr. Orville and Lena Jones 37th Pastoral Anniversary. The celebrations began on Saturday, October 21st with a 10 am Praise Breakfast for our First Lady, Lena Jones, at the church.
On Sunday, October 22nd, we are looking forward to hearing from Dr. Jack Thomas, a prolific man of God who has been ordained to preach the Word having served as the former president of the Central State University. Dr. Thomas served as President for Western Illinois University for eleven years and is a former member of First Baptist Church. Dr. Thomas will bring our morning service message.
We are also excited to hear from another powerful warrior of God, Rev. Dr. Joseph Williamson, III who is also a former moderator for the Wood River District Association for our afternoon service and the proud pastor of the Second Baptist Church of Rock, Island. Dr. Williamson, III will bring our afternoon message.
