The Honor Guard of the American Legion Post 37 in Quincy, Illinois honors the memories of those who perished in the terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and in Shanksville, Pa. on September 11th 2001. The Honor Guard will be led in prayer, by Reverend Dave Hall. Immediately after prayer, the Honor Guard will perform the traditional rifle salute of three Rifle Volleys, followed by TAPS.
Following the Ceremony, the American Legion Post 37 will provide a luncheon for all First Responders.
Date: September 11, 2023
Time: Ceremony begins at 9:00 am at City Hall, 730 Maine St., in Quincy. Luncheon for First Responders follows at the American Legion Post 37, 116 N 8th St., in Quincy.
