Community Bible Study
Community Bible Study (CBS) is enrolling for their Bible study on the book of Genesis. They will kick off the new class year with an informational meeting 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 2, 2010, at Fifth St. Baptist Church, 5th and Broadway, in Hannibal. Adults of all ages and faiths are invited to learn more about CBS by attending this meeting.
CBS is an interdenominational, non-profit organization whose mission is to make disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ through caring, in-depth Bible study available to all. The Hannibal area condensed class is one of more than 500 adult classes throughout the United States and overseas.
In its 7th year, the local class presently has women and men from various denominations and churches in Hannibal and surrounding communities in Missouri. Illinois residents are welcome also. The class meets on Thursday evenings from September 9 to May 5 with breaks during some holidays. Adults may join any time throughout the class year.
The host church is Fifth Street Baptist Church. CBS is not affiliated with any church or denomination.

Benefit Concert
There will be a concert at 7:00 pm, September 3rd, held at Glory Worship Center (on the corner of Highway 24 and Augusta road in Clayton) to raise money for Justice Kelly's Eagle Scout project of replacing a shelter house at the church that was destroyed in a storm last year. The concert will feature the local Christian group T.N.T. and other musical guests. Refreshments will be served after the concert. A free will offering will be taken.
