| I just wanted to thank you for the encouragement your station brings to my life daily. As I’m sure you remember, being a college student is an awesome but wild and crazy ride. You never know what the day is going to bring, but you always know nothing is out of God’s control. On days I’m struggling to remember that – your music reminds me. How sweet it is to be loved by the King of Kings! Thanks for all you guys do.
(from Sharathon 09) Thank you so very much for the music and the faith inspiration you provide on a daily basis. Many times it has been just the right song, prayer, or funny story at the time when it was most needed. May your faith in our Lord and His calling for you continue to be blessed always.
(from Sharathon 09) Just a note to say thank you for such an awesome radio station! I listen to JT and BR daily in the morning on my way to work. Just this small time listening inspires me more than words can say. God bless you!
(from Sharathon 09) Thanks so much for your message and music every day! It has helped me through many tough times.
(from Sharathon 09) WGCA is my constant companion. The music and humor of the BTMS is always uplifting. Thanks for being there.
(from Sharathon 09) I began listening to THE MIX in high school and every time I turned on the ration, the song spoke to the situation I was in. Music brought me closer to God and to my faith and WGCA was a huge help in figuring out God’s plan for my life. I want to thank you for drawing me closer to the heart of Christ.
(from Sharathon 09) I love you guys! You are doing a super “job for Jesus”! Keep up the good work.
(from Sharathon 09) Thank you for all you do to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost… for beings a light in the darkness and encouragement to us all!
I am sending my tithes to WGCA because I am not attending a church right now. I want to give where I get blessed every day listening to your station. It has spoken to me many times when I didn’t not know where to turn.
I listen every day single day! What you provide is absolutely wonderful... thank you! I don’t know how I made it through each day before I started listening to 88.5. You all have truly been a blessing.
I am internet mix listener all the way from Boone, North Carolina -- home of Appalachian State University. I lived in Quincy seven years ago and THE MIX was all my family would listen too. We have great radio stations in North Carolina, but there was just something about the Mix that I missed, so I decided to find you guys online. There have been so many mornings that I wake up and turn on THE MIX. Since I’m an hour ahead of you guys sometimes I think I have more time than I do… but it makes my day so much brighter. The music you guys play and your encouraging words help me through my days. Being a freshman in college and away from home for the first time, some days are tough, but you guys help to make them just a little bit better. Thanks for all you do! I am glad you are online!
Our income has suffered as of late, but the one job I do have is being a cook in a little restaurant. My employers are Christians and they allow me to listen to WGCA while I work. While I’m there, I’m the only one in the kitchen so I feel like the BTMS is my very own, personal uplifting church/Bible Study. There’s a little segment you guys have in between songs where you talk about tithing where you are ministered to the most and since I don’t get to go to church much now, you guys are my connection with God and the Christian world. Words can’t really express my gratitude but at least my small pledge will help towards keeping you on the air.
I’ve been incarcerated over ten years. For the last three, I’ve been truly blessed to be encouraged by your station, the wonderful music and teachings.
I just want to say that you guys are awesome and you do such a great job every morning waking me up and keeping Christ alive in my life. If it wasn’t for Christian radio I have no idea where I would be today. Thank you for everything.
(Regarding Focus on Marriage) We had a wonderful experience at the Focus on Marriage simulcast & would be honored to attend the parenting one in November. Please do keep us updated. Thank you for all your work in organizing & publicizing the event!
(Regarding Focus on Marriage) My wife and I thought it was a productive day and helpful to us. I heard positive comments from others as well. On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being best and 1 being worst, I would rate the day between a 7 and an 8. Those speakers that I appreciated the most included Gary Thomas, Del Tackett, and John Trent.
(Regarding Focus on Marriage) We learned so much, we especially liked Beth Moore and Gary Smalley. We have been married 31 years, I wish we had attended this years ago. My husband just started attending church with us regularly a year and a half ago, I had always taken our children by myself. He is the one that suggested we attend the Focus on Marriage. What a Blessing!

I was impressed with the number of couples married less than 10 years. Well over half. If you just gave one of those couples the tools to have a wonderful marriage, it was worth it.
(Regarding Focus on Marriage) We felt very blessed by the day. The speakers were just outstanding and we have already started purchasing some of the resources from the different speakers. We are trying to implement some of the ideas and concepts presented and I have seen some changes already in our relationships (most of the changes will need to be made by me). As far as attending the parenting workshop, we have talked about it and will be interested in hearing what the slant will be. Our youngest is 20 and while we still "parent" all three of our children, it is different than traditional parenting. We might sign up just to hear Kevin Leman's presentation since he helped us raise our kids.
(Regarding Focus on Marriage) My husband and I really enjoyed the marriage simulcast. After 27 years of marriage, we know that God is at work, never satisfied to leave us as we are. We do feel it was a very beneficial conference, and wish many others could see it. Hopefully, they will do it again and offer it on DVD's to purchase, to enrich, strengthen and save marriages. As far as the parenting conference, we would like to attend that as well. We still have so much to learn! I don't think we'll ever get it or them all figured out. Thanks for being part of making a difference in so many lives. Thank you so much for bringing the conference to Quincy.
(Regarding Focus on Marriage) My husband and I loved the simulcast. We learned so much about how we are to see each other (and ourselves) through God's eyes. We have each started our "2 degrees of change" and have had many good discussions. We are in our first year of marriage and expecting a baby in April. We were happy to have this opportunity to start our marriage out on the right foot. We are also very interested in the parenting event. Thanks!
(Regarding Focus on Marriage) My husband and I enjoyed the whole day and found each speaker to be very insightful. My husband enjoyed hearing Beth Moore as I have talked about her so much because of her bible studies that I have done in church.
(Regarding Focus on Marriage) We want you to know we thoroughly enjoyed the Focus on Marriage. Even being married 39 yrs. we don't have it perfect. We do know Jesus and of course he is the reason we are still in love. My husband’s favorites were Gary Thomas, and Beth Moore. Most men have not heard Beth since she teaches women’s bible studies. It really surprised them that her husband is not the perfect husband, but their marriage is good none the less. I, of course, liked Beth Moore and Gary Smalley. Deciding that changing your spouse is not the way to a better relationship is something we all have to accept. We are who we are, let God do the changing His way.
(Regarding Focus on Marriage) Just wanted to let you know that the church we are attending here in Palestine, Texas hosted a simulcast of the Focus on Marriage seminars yesterday and we attended it. It was pretty awesome! We have been married for 35 years but were very blessed by the speakers! I guess a marriage needs an "oil change" every now and then. I remember before Christmas last year, you announced this event and I have been hearing about it ever since. We were not going to attend but last Sunday, we decided 'why not?' and are very happy we did! Thanks for planting the seed! We miss your station very much! Please keep up the good work of spreading the Gospel to the Tri-states and beyond! God Bless you!
(Regarding MMM) We just saw the immediate need and felt like God had blessed us and it was our job to bless others with what God had trusted us with. The radio station is a wonderful blessing and we want it to continue.
(from Sharathon 09) Sign me up for another year. Thank you for the life and hope you bring and praise the Lord for the privilege you and I have to be the tools he uses.
Thank you for sponsoring the event. It was refreshing, and necessary, no matter what a person's situation is. |
(Regarding MMM) Your radio station seems to give the Holy Spirit a very good reception directly to me. On more than one occasion, I'll be praying and the song that is playing seems to be the words as if God was speaking directly back, answering the prayer. How could I not be a minute (WO)man and help to pass-on that kind of chance for the Holy Spirit to move in others lives!?
(From Prayer Request) The losses of my mom and brother the past few years bring on tears of grief. I’ve lost both my jobs, one of 23 years, the other of 13 years, because of dealing with my family. My depression lifts when I listen to WGCA. Thank you for being on the air.
Thank you for your Godly presence in my life….albeit thru the radio air waves. Bruce and JT start my morning off right every day…. enjoying the word and fellowshipping with our Lord. I suggest your morning show to many people. I am inspired by the way you just drop to your knees in prayer when a concern or issue comes in. I have embraced that action in my life walk as well.
I have been going through a divorce after 15 years of marriage. I have turned to God to help me cope and learn that life on the other side of divorce can be good. WGCA gives me the music and inspiration that I need to help me through many rough days and even uplift me on good days. I truly believe that God brings people, places and things into our lives when we need them the most (or we are more aware of those things at the times of need). Finding a wonderful church home truly helps. WGCA is great, keep on rocking with all the great Christian rock bands and songs. The inspiration of God’s love is what our community needs.
Just a note to let you know that I listen online in Petersburg, IL. We are blessed with a good Christian radio station over here, but it just doesn’t compare to WGCA. Thanks for all you do and all your off the wall humor!!
(Regarding Focus on Marriage) We had a great time and took in so much great information. My husband and I teach a marriage Sunday school class; there were six couples in attendance from our church. On Sunday morning during class, every time we would ask a question, someone would reply with something they learned from the day before. It is such an awesome blessing to see everyone soak up all the great information that was presented to us. On Sunday there were 17 couples in attendance in our class... we shared a lot from the seminar on Sunday during class too. They have already asked for us to get the seminar when it comes out on DVD to share with everyone that didn't go on Saturday.
(Regarding Focus on Marriage) Although it seems like such a simple, and SHOULD be obvious, concept...I myself was really captivated by Dr. Smalley's candid explanation of "our beliefs come from our heart", in which many of these "beliefs" are what we have carried with us from our childhood and continue to carry them. We sometimes never stop to question our OWN beliefs, but yet are quick to question someone else's (especially in a married situation). Because we just grow up with thinking "what we know is what we know, so it must be right" and don't leave room for the possibility that perhaps we need not be so steadfast in these beliefs, if they are causing us to question things.
(Regarding Focus on Marriage) My husband had "agreed" to go to the Focus On Marriage event with me. This in itself was a "good thing" and I let him know just that. We were both pleased by what we took in across the 6 hour telecast. Very intriguing presenters, well spoken, yet just "real people".
(Regarding MMM) I believe Christian radio has an impact on a community that is impossible to calculate. It isn’t about the number of listeners or underwriters. It’s about a message that’s available to encourage believers through a public medium. I don’t know if we’ll ever know exactly how powerfully God has used WGCA and stations like it across our nation. I support you for that reason.
(Regarding Focus on Marriage) We are so blessed to have WGCA in our community. I could stand on the street corner and just praise God. The first speaker, Gary Thomas, just blew my socks off. He did a tremendous job! If I had heard no other speakers but Gary, it would have been worth every penny and minute of time to attend.
(Regarding Focus on Marriage) My husband and I were both verb blessed by the Focus on Marriage Simulcast. We thought the speakers were excellent (Beth Moore was a riot!) and the messages profound. We are a young couple and we've been happily married for just three short years, but the simulcast really did reaffirm for us how fortunate we are to have been given this relationship by God... The simulcast reminded us that it wasn't simply a "contract" we chose to sign but an assignment from God that is incomparably important to Him... and to us. Thanks for partnering with MPCC to make this event possible!
(Regarding Focus on Marriage) My husband and I have grown so much spiritually the last few years and really thought this brought us even closer! We really enjoyed the whole day. Specifically for myself, I learned a lot just about myself and what I need to work on to be able to see things more clearly through God's eyes. From the conversations my husband and I have had, he has told me the same as well and just want to thank you and your staff again for everything provided. |
