John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Maxine and her husband Bruce have worked side by side in ministry all their lives as a couple. The two were involved with WGCA 88.5 fm The Mix! since the beginning, 1987. They have five daughters, sixteen grandchildren, and six great grandchildren living in Quincy that continue to keep them entertained as well as on their knees.
On Tuesday mornings Maxine facilitates a women’s Bible Study from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at First Union Congregational Church, also known as the Congo. When she has spare time, which is quite rare, she enjoys reading spiritual self-help books, scrapbooking, and traveling with her siblings and family. Maxine serves as the Associate Director for WGCA and continues to put her heart and soul into the ministry.
I Timothy 2:13 Even when we are too weak to have any faith left, he remains faithful to us and will help us, for he cannot disown us who are part of himself, and he will always carry out his promises to us.
Operations Manager/Morning Show Host
Greg Haubrich’s faith in the Lord is a shining example to all of us at WGCA. Our Morning Show Host and Operations Manager grew up in Quincy and has graced the radio world with his voice for 30 years. He enjoys playing the guitar and leading worship. Running keeps him active and when he is ready to relax, watching baseball is most ideal. Greg attends The Crossing, occasionally visits Madison Park Christian Church, and watches services online at Bayside, Saddleback for extra time to learn more about God. He is a true servant of the Lord and inspires others for a deeper relationship with Christ.
1 Corinthians 16: 13-14 which says “Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love.”
Brittany (“Miss Bee”) Phillips
Marketing and Social Media Publicist/On-Air Host (Mornings & Saturday Night)
Brittany joined the WGCA family in January 2016. Jesus has always been a big part of her life, due to being raised in a home with parents that encouraged her faith at an early age. Brittany grew up in Quincy, graduated from Quincy Notre Dame High School, and attended Indiana University to earn her bachelor’s degree. She travelled the world, lived in NYC and a small island in Georgia, before God guided her back to Quincy. God had a plan, as he always does, and brought Nicholas, a preschool classmate, back into her life. The two married in March of 2015 and continue to enjoy growing as a couple and keeping God as their cornerstone. Brittany enjoys singing, reading, and running during her alone time. As a couple, the pair enjoy walking their dog, “Sunny”, and cooking unique meals.
Favorite Verse: Matthew 18:3 “And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”
Jim (“JT”) Taylor
After 29 years of managing the On-Air portion of The Mix, and having the privilege of saying the first words on WGCA ( “Jesus Is Lord!”), Jim is cutting back to a part time Music Director position. He will still be around to bug ya’, managing Mix! Music, Imaging, promos, and getting the Word of God on the air in the mornings…!
Dan “Rhino” Reinhard
On-Air Host (Afternoon & Evenings)
Dan has been with WGCA since the late 1980’s, beginning in the old meat truck and now enjoying the comforts of the Maine Street suite. His voice brightens up our listeners afternoons, evenings and now weekends with inspiration and God’s word. He and his wife, Fran, have been married since 1986 and have four children. The family attends Faith Assembly of God and they somehow find time to serve in various ways. Dan enjoys watching sports, especially the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Phillies.
Ephesians 4:1-8 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
Dusty (“DC”) Carlisle
On-Air Host (Weekends)
Dusty Carlisle is a confident young man who isn’t afraid to share God’s word. This DJ grew up on a family farm north of Carthage, raising hogs and cattle. Dusty attended Illini West High School and completed his bachelor’s degree at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL. Currently, he and his family attend Burnside Christian Church. He enjoys collecting vinyl records, biking, as well as listening to entertainment and sports radio shows. Eating a special treat from Dairy Queen and hang out with friends is a highlight to Dusty! He is a simple man, with fantastic hair, that enjoys the little things in life.
Favorite Bible Verse: Ecclesiastes 12:13 – “Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this this is the duty of all mankind.”
On-Air Host (Mid-Day Weekdays)
JJ takes over for Gregory Haubrich at 10:30 each day. JJ Miller was born in Kansas and has lived in the Midwest for most of her life. A broadcaster and professional narrator for well over a decade, JJ is still an outdoor girl. Raised on a ranch and surrounded by animals, JJ spends her free time caring for a host of exotic animals between episodes of Law & Order. JJ has served WGCA as a voice talent since 2001.
Business Development Director
Bob Daly is one of WGCA’s newest team members! His positive attitude, one of a kind sense of humor, and childlike tendencies keeps all of us smiling. Bob was born and raised in Quincy and attended St. Peters grade school and Quincy Notre Dame High School. He furthered his education at Eastern Illinois University and earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing. Bob’s father, Tom Daly, and his business partner Bernie Willer started Sandy’s, which eventually became Hardee’s. After college and his father’s death Bob went into business with Bernie and the two purchased two of the three Hardee’s in Quincy. Eventually he had ownership of eight Hardee’s in West Central Illinois. He and his wife, Lynn, are happily married and the couple has four wonderful children: Brittany, Nathan, Alyssa, and Joshua.
His favorite verse: John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life”
Michael (not Mike, please). I am originally from Chicago, but I have called this area my home since 1999 (and an actual Quincy resident for 3 of those years). One of my favorite activities is to attend the Blues In The District concerts at Washington Park. There is nothing like a warm summer breeze, the sun setting at your back, and live music in front of you.
I LOVE radio. I always have. That is why you might hear me broadcasting on other stations in the area. I also work for WGCA as their Chief Engineer. My duties on WGCA include maintaining and repairing equipment, and keeping 88.5 The Mix! on the air. As long as you are able to listen to WGCA on the radio, then I have done my job.
IT Manager/Webmaster/Mobile App
He has been happily married to his wife Kimberly since 1992 and they have three children. In addition to his work with WGCA he is also employed at Knapheide Manufacturing with their IT Department and runs his own web development business out of his home. When he isn’t working on computers and websites he spends his time with his family and studying God’s Word. He assists with ministries throughout Quincy and is active with their church in Peoria (Restored Covenant Community). He enjoys sharing about his Messianic Jewish faith, helping people to connect with the ancient roots of our faith.
His favorite Bible verses are Deuteronomy 6:4-9: “Sh’ma, Yisra’el! ADONAI Eloheinu, ADONAI echad [Hear, Isra’el! ADONAI our God, ADONAI is one]; and you are to love ADONAI your God with all your heart, all your soul and all your strength. These words, which I am commanding you today, are to be on your heart; and you are to teach them diligently to your children. You are to talk about them when you sit at home, when you are traveling on the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them on your hand as a sign, put them at the front of a headband around your forehead, and write them on the door-frames of your house and on your gates.”
Financial Officer/Donor Relations
Favorite Bible Verse: Luke 7:47 “Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven – for she loved much. But he who is forgiven little, loves little.”
